Mike Hawks

Mike Hawks is a designer at Mayer/Reed, a multidisciplinary design studio providing landscape architecture, urban design, visual communications and product design. A lifelong student of psychology and sociology, Mike Hawks concerns himself with how people come to understand their environment, navigate through it and obtain a perception of safety and well-being.
Earning a BFA in Interior Design from Marylhurst University, Mike Hawks brings a lifetime of varied and relevant experience to the practice of EGD – his prior careers in fashion retail and the building trades (as well as practically congenital passions for Lego and drawing), helped him develop a deep affection for graphic environments and a keen understanding of making: how things work, how they fit together, what makes them memorable and useful.
Mike Hawks is a former co-chair of the Portland Chapter.
