Hi there! I’m Kim. I’m a Senior Designer and Art Director with roots in brand identity, environmental design, creative direction, and community-centered work.

I love messy projects with multiple perspectives – helping to streamline many visions into one neatly wrapped, beautifully designed package that everyone can be proud of. My background in public art and community-centered design has always shaped how I approach a project – thinking about how people move through and experience a space, not just how something looks on a screen. That perspective travels with me into every project, whether I’m designing a showroom environment, building out a conference experience, or developing a brand identity meant to live in the world beyond a logo file.

Currently, I serve as Senior Designer at Erickson Senior Living, where I art direct national lifestyle photoshoots, lead creative on mail and digital campaigns, and have just started designing 3D “living brochure” showrooms – immersive sales center environments built in collaboration with architects, developers, and interior designers. I also work as a freelance designer and creative director, with past clients and partners including Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Office Promotion & the Arts, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, DTLR, Maryland Center for History & Culture, Maryland WIC, NAACP, Nike, Sagamore Spirit, and Transportation Association of Maryland.

I’ve served as Board President of Bmore Empowered (2021-2024) and Education Director of AIGA Baltimore (2018-2020). I am a 2017 Open Society Institute (OSI) alum and a 2020 Young Cultural Innovator (YCI) Fellow of the Salzburg Global Forum. I hold an MFA in Community Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).

In my life outside of work, I’m a licensed therapeutic foster parent with Kennedy Krieger. In my free time you can find me cooking your favorite dish for a themed potluck, brewing small batches of dandelion wine in my kitchen, watching reality television for “research” and hanging out with my cat Denzel.

My super power is

Collaboration and positive outlook.

I'm looking for

Opportunities to learn more about experiential design.

Best piece of advice I've ever heard

Happiness isn’t in having what you want, but wanting what you have. Water your own grass, and it’ll be green!

Where I find Inspiration

I’m inspired outside, on both urban city and remote nature walks.
