Hi! I’m Katy – a Nashville native new to the world of museums and exhibitions. I am looking to learn from people in the industry and further develop my skillset in order to be the best marketer that I can be for my company. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and a specialization in Graphic Design from the University of Mississippi. I love all things design, specifically retro illustrations, and take up small design projects in my free time.

Ask me about

Why I think social media will soon be left in the dust in terms of advertising and marketing because of how saturated it has become.

My super power is

My super power is my ability to work on multiple projects at once while still maintaining a level of perfection that is up to my standards. I do not put out work unless I am 100% happy with it, and a big part of being able to get to the finish line for me is being able to manage my time appropriately between projects, and other marketing efforts.

I'm looking for

I’m looking for a community of designers that I can bounce ideas off of and ask for opinions, advice, etc. that are in industries other than my own to keep up with what is currently trending in the design world.

What I love about experience design

I absolutely love illustrating historical landmarks and neon road signs. Some of my favorite work has been based on images I took of retro neon road signs.

Best piece of advice I've ever heard

To stop being in a rush. Not everything needs to be done right away, some times it’s better to take your time rather than pushing deliverables out the door.

Where I find Inspiration

I find inspiration in my own previous projects, other designers I follow on social media, walking through our workshop, and most importantly, Pinterest.
