Justin Rankin

Justin is the Digital Experience Design (DXD) Practice Area Leader for Gensler’s South Central region and the Austin Studio Director. He has more than 20 years of experience in digital design, having fulfilled the full gamut of design roles — from graphic designer to front-end web developer and project manager to account leader. Justin’s experience delivering design work and selling design services affords him with the ability to not only understand granular facets of design but also strategically partner with clients to identify solutions to their design challenges.

During his tenure at Gensler thus far, Justin has helped lead projects such as the AT&T Discovery District, Dell Interactive Wall at the Moody Center, and Deloitte Chicago Greenhouse, among many others. Justin and his team use their expertise in technology and digital design to connect fans, travelers, guests, customers, visitors, and employees to each other in the built environment – whether through memorable interactions or engagement with rich media content.

Justin is a member of the Austin chapter of AIA, a founding board member for Design Austin, and teaches a course on Digital Experience Design at the University of Texas at Austin in the School of Design and Creative Technologies.
