Jill Ayers is Creative Director at Airspace, a graphic design firm specializing in experiential graphic design, located in Brooklyn, NY. Current clients include the NBA, WarnerMedia, MicroSoft and New City Properties. Jill served on the Board of Directors for the Society of Experiential Graphic Design and was President for two years.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Jill went on to study graphic and industrial design at the University of Michigan School of Art & Design. From there she served as Designer of identification and wayfinding projects at Two Twelve Associates and as Senior Designer of signage and retail branding projects at Gensler.
Under her leadership, Airspace has been recognized by Print, Communication Arts, How, Graphic Design USA, the Type Director’s Club, the Art Director’s Club, and the Society of Experiental Graphic Design. Their projects have been documented in books such as Typography Essentials and Display: 2-D and 3-D Design for Exhibitions, Galleries, Museums, Trade Shows.
Jill Ayers is also a founding member of the EverySpace furniture collective based in Brooklyn, NY and taught in the School of Continuing Education, Graphic Design Department, at Parsons The New School for Design.
