Jemma is the Design Director at Seattle’s award-winning Studio SC, where she leverages over 20 years of experience to lead multi-disciplinary teams in creating memorable environments. Her work, at the intersection of Architecture, Interior Design, Strategy, Graphic Design, and Creative Technology, reflects a deep understanding of human-centered design. Jemma’s expertise spans Sports & Entertainment, Aviation, Civic, Higher Education, Workplace, and Hospitality markets.
Passionate about immersive environments and strategic brand storytelling, she focuses on authentic placemaking and user experience design. Jemma’s approach starts with understanding the WHY that drives each project. This foundation guides the development of user experience strategies, experiential masterplanning, sponsorship integration, donor recognition, wayfinding programs, brand design, interactive exhibits, art, and more.
Jemma has been a long time member of SEGD, is a former chapter chair, and participates in mentorship efforts, portfolio reviews, and events. Jemma hosts the Design Improv workshop at SEGD’s annual conference every year, as well as participating in the emerging designer events.
