In the late 1990’s my experience at Hillier included work on the ten-building Pharmacia Corporate Campus designing signage ranging from parking garage and exterior directional signs to an interior room numbering directional system. My attention to detail was put to work on large, urban wayfinding projects in Camden and Jersey City, NJ, and Dallas, TX. Prior to my time at Hillier Architects, my creativity shined at Daroff Design, Inc. where I engaged in hospitality projects for Walt Disney World, Rainforest Café, and Sea World.

In 2002, I founded Jack Hulme Design. My studio was regularly involved with talented architects, interior designers, planners, and landscape architects. My commitment to design solutions that created a strong sense of place earned the studio an impressive list of regional and national projects for the City of Perth Amboy, NJ; Princeton University; Texas A&M University, The College of New Rochelle, Southestern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority – SEPTA, and the Abington Art Center.

In 2008, I re-entered the work force as a senior environmental graphic designer and team lead for Exit Design – a nationally-recognized experience design firm specializing in healthcare wayfinding. While at Exit, I had the pleasure of collaborating with leading architectural firms including Ballinger, Ewing Cole, Francis Cauffman, Perkins + Will, Rafael Vinoly Architects, Stantec, and TRO Jung | Brannen, Inc.

In the fall of 2012 I began working for Ayers Saint Gross Architects in Baltimore, MD as a senior environmental graphic designer and project manager in their graphic design studio. During my time there I led signage & wayfinding projects for Bowie State University, the Community College of Baltimore County’s three campuses, Enoch Pratt Free Library, Frederick Community College, Grinnell College, the Maryland House I-95 Travel Plaza, and the Chesapeake House I-95 Travel Plaza. Additionally, I spearheaded master plan projects for Texas A&M University, Ohio University, Northwest Missouri State University, Smithsonian Institute at Front Royal, and Calvin College.

In the spring of 2018, I joined the visual solutions company Gable with the charge of creating their first Environmental Graphic Design Studio. The studio has been involved in an impressive list of projects including the flagship hotel for the Shinola Company in Detroit, MI; a campus-wide wayfinding system for Howard University in Washington, DC; and multiple projects for Greystar Worldwide including Illume at Capitol Yards, The Lucie, OTIS, and The Commodore.
