Gretchen Coss

Gretchen is Director of Business Development for Gallagher & Associates. She previously served as Principal of Douglas|Gallagher Chicago. Her experience also includes positions with Gensler/LA as Director of Graphics and Owner/Principal of Coss Creative for 11 years.
Ms. Coss has extensive experience in brand management and experience design, as well as large-scale mixed-use/entertainment projects and museum exhibitions across the country. Gretchen is well versed in the development of comprehensive marketing campaigns and the translation of those marketing messages to the 3-dimensional environment. She has participated on collaborative teams, both nationally and internationally, designing communications systems for mass audiences, whether in retail environments, museum venues, international airports, or the rapidly changing business and entertainment environments. Representative clients include SONY, Dreamworks/SKG, Disney, the National Park Service, and The Smithsonian Institution.
Gretchen served on the Board of Directors for the Society of Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD) for six years. Her involvement in the education initiatives over the years includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at the Corcoran College of Art + Design, giving numerous lectures and many writing projects. In 2005, she completed a book project focused on brand management and its extension to the museum environment. Her affiliations also include AIGA, AAM, and the ULI Entertainment Design Council. Gretchen received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University.
