Born in the swamps of Florida, I grew up putting pencil to paper any chance I got. My art career first flourished through the medium of tattooing. Tattooing taught me basic principles and rules are important, and to bend them you must fully understand them. After successfully pushing the medium I decided to grow I needed new mentors and new explorative mediums. I maintain a comprehensive understanding of composition and aesthetic. My philosophy is the ideal of interesting and cool is not always with in the rules, so understanding them and how to manipulate them is paramount.

Ask me about

The importance of values and the under use of black.

My super power is

Ad-lib storytelling—inspiration is like lightning: it strikes and strikes, and I can look at something and expand on it almost immediately.

I'm looking for

Mentors and colleagues to grow alongside.

What I love about experience design

I love creating–be it art or a story or a play set for my kids. The act of creating the constant problem solving that comes with it has always lit my fire.

Best piece of advice I've ever heard

“Lightning doesn’t avoid ships.” I was working on a series of ships that portrayed different phases of life. In a particular piece there happen to be a bold lightning strike, considering the viewers eye I put the lightning around the ship as to not jumble the piece. My professor gave me this advice and it clicked. Each element has a role and a voice, and harmony comes from the combining of these elements not the separation.

Where I find Inspiration

I find inspiration in stories.
