During his twenty-five-year career, Eric Whipple has designed, art directed and production managed numerous prestigious NYC projects including 56 Leonard, One57, Chelsea Modern, One York, Platinum NYC, Urban Glass House, The Dream Hotel (Downtown & Midtown), Hyatt Times Square, Hotel Gansevoort (Park Avenue & Meatpacking District), and Trump Soho .
Eric Whipple’s expertise in specifying and engineering signs was developed during his decade-long tenure as operations manager at a successful ADA sign manufacturing facility. Eric Whipple then utilized his design degree from Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design (Denver, Colo.) and established a design department, thus providing clients full service from concept to completion.
Following a need to tip the scales towards design and away from overseeing production, Eric Whipple launched designco. in August of 2015. designco. is a New York City based firm that offers sign design, fabrication management and installation for the design-conscious client who likes to have the option of a one-stop-shop or a design for bid package. The firm’s first project was the sign design for Central Park Tower and designco. has been going strong ever since.
