A storyteller through experiential, wayfinding, interpretive, and exhibit design
Member Since
December 2008
I am a creative leader and an advocate of accessibility for experiential design, with over 25 years of experience designing brand identities and environments, interpretive and wayfinding programs, and exhibits around the world that connect people to ideas and places. My works often feature a high level of integration between 2D and 3D elements, transforming linear messages into experiential statements — inspiring people to engage in meaningful ways.
I am an advocate of accessibility. I believe design should be accessible to people of all ages, abilities and demography. As an active member of RGD and SEGD, I have contributed to publications on accessibility and design leadership initiatives over the years. I am a co-author of “AccessAbility 2: A Practical Handbook on Accessible Graphic Design”.
At work, I lead the creative direction for wayfinding, donor recognition, placemaking, interpretation, exhibit, and storytelling, with projects ranging from parks to museums, corporate offices to civic centres, residential communities to retail developments, educational institutions to museums and science centres, as well as healthcare facilities.
Outside of work, I give back to the community by serving as a member of the Program Advisory Committee for Centennial College’s Museum & Cultural Management Program. I am a past member of the Markham Museum Board and the Professional Advisory Council of Sheridan College’s Experiential Design Program.
