I am a Richmond native who received a BFA in Digital Art and New Media from George Mason University’s School of Art. After graduating I cut my teeth doing in-house design, branding, and graphic production for a small business, while getting my hands dirty as both a designer and musician in Richmond’s superlative music scene.

This breadth of experience won me a competitive position at the Science Museum of Virginia. In my six years here, I have vastly expanded and redefined my role, serving as the internal creative director on a myriad of projects including print design, exhibit development, media production, product management, branding, contractor delegation, and wayfinding, across the scope of three museums.

Since 2024 I’ve also reenergized my musical endeavors, playing in two bands and continuing to seed the scene with visual art, including full packaging design for an upcoming vinyl release, as well as poster and t-shirt designs.

(I’ve supplied my website above but – shame on me – it has not been updated since 2019)

Ask me about

songwriting, astronomy, trail riding, volcanism, animal adaptation, da movies!

My super power is

The well don’t run dry. Creative process not as a mystical conjuration, but a practiced method (and still fun!)

I'm looking for

New insights into my craft, and more likeminded peers and friends in the communication arts

What I love about experience design

A teacher once told me that cave paintings weren’t just symptoms of intelligence, they were instruments for developing it. Art is a process of thinking outside of our heads, in a shared space. Getting to make a living touching brains with other people is the greatest privilege imaginable.

Best piece of advice I've ever heard

Don’t be precious.

Where I find Inspiration

Literally everywhere, never bored if I have eyes and ears and freedom of movement
