Daniela creates environments and experiences that connect people to people, and people to places. In her practice she designs project processes, manages interdisciplinary collaborations and creates solutions that are pragmatic, enjoyable, promote engagement, empathy and personal connection. Her work process typically combines principles of Design Thinking and Human Centered Design with attentive listening and observation. She seek to uncover narratives that are meaningful and purposeful, of her client’s and their audience.
Examples of her work are part of exhibitions, storytelling in parks and public spaces, commercial branded environments, signage and wayfinding, and digital interactive installations.
Daniela is the principal and founder of DePerla Design, a boutique studio based in Vancouver B.C. specializing in the creation of meaningful and beautiful spatial experiences. She is also a Professional Practices co-chair at SEGD, and is a regular guest speaker and workshop facilitator for SEGD, and Design Formation at Langara College.
