Chuan-Wei Ting was born in Tainan, Taiwan, and studied exhibition design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY in New York City, where he received his MA in 2015. He has worked for three years at Pentagram Design as a signage designer under partner Michael Gericke on a variety of wayfinding, and environmental graphic design projects. at Urban Art Studio as creative director executed many art projects that included the exhibition of art into a city space, a city marketing plan, etc. In November 2018, he established his own studio, Path & Landforms.
His practice is known for its simplicity and clarity. He specializes in experiential and environmental graphic design. His work encompasses wayfinding design, brand identity, and exhibition design, created in collaborations with the corporation, architect and professional organizations and galleries, and brands.
He has been worked with MVRDV, Kengo Kuma and Associates, Mecanoo, KPF, SOM, Safdie Architects, Heatherwick Studio, Gensler, and many other architecture firms.
