Christina Lyons is a member of the 2021 SEGD Board and has served on the SEGD Board Through 2016, representing education.

She is professor and chairperson, Graduate Exhibition & Experience Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology/SUNY in New York.

Previous to this position she was the Director of the Graphics Department at Lee H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership. She has worked on projects such as the Muzeiko: Children’s Museum in Sofia, Bulgaria, the The New York Historical Society, the Sony Wonder Technology Lab, the Aileron Center for Entrepreneurial Education, the Rochester Museum and Science Center, Batsto Historic Village, the National Track and Field Hall of Fame, the Monkey King: A Journey to China exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, the Off the Wall exhibit for SEGD at AIGA, the America: Now + Here traveling exhibit, as well as Live Work Skyline Street exhibit at Center for Architecture.

Christina Lyons holds a Masters in Communication Design from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont. Christina Lyons has been an instructor in the Fashion Institute of Technology, Master of Arts program in Exhibition Design since 2010, and in the Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design department since 2008. Her recent speaking engagements include the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums and National Association for Interpretation.

Christina Lyons received her Masters of Communication Design from the Pratt Institute in 2002 after receiving an under graduate degree from the University of Vermont.
