Studio JYL is founded by, Chris Lai, a creative problem solver and a passionate storyteller with a fearless curiosity. Chris Lai (They/Them) was born and raised in Taiwan for 19 years, they received their BFA in Visual Communications from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013. Their skillset includes painting (ink, charcoal, watercolor…), screen printing, woodworking, brand visual identity, building gallery walls, and changing the flat tire on your bike. They have a diverse skillset with a focus on visual communication and solving design problems in the 3D space with an analog artistic approach.
