Angela Iarocci

2021 Educator Award Professor, York University/Sheridan College Program in Design
Angela Iarocci is a Professor and Coordinator at Sheridan College in the Faculty of Animation, Arts & Design with academic specializations in experiential design, information design, inclusive and sustainable design.

Angela has a diverse design background that builds on her education in industrial design and architecture. She has professional experience in both the public and private sector and has been involved in a wide range of projects developing wayfinding systems, exhibitions, and interpretive installations. Angela is a member of the Toronto-based art and design collective, moimoi design, creating context-specific experiences that engage people in the unexpected. As an educator, Angela has had a significant role in the development of the first Bachelor of Experiential Design programin Canada, launched in 2021 at Sheridan College. She currently serves on the SEGD Academic Task Force, and her academic and creative work has been published and exhibited internationally.
