Andrew Davey

As a Partner at Selbert Perkins Design, Andy Davey’s expertise in developing environments for airports is integral to the company’s success. Since joining the firm in 1997, he has worked on numerous projects for Los Angeles World Airports, including the Tom Bradley International Terminal renovation, the recently opened Economy Parking structure, and the LAWA Signage Standards, an extensive and comprehensive document for all its airports and systems.

Under Andy’s leadership, SPD’s work at LAX continues as the primary consultant for the new Car Rental Center (ConRac), overseeing the signage and wayfinding program for the new Automated People Mover (APM), which is scheduled to open in 2024.
In addition, Andy spearheads SPD’s ongoing design efforts at many other airports around the country, including Orlando International Airport, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Reno-Tahoe International Airport, Tampa International Airport, and Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.

Through his collaboration with world-class design teams, Andy has developed a loyal client base of architects, real estate developers, designers, administrators, and tradespeople who have turned to him and the SPD team for innovative and practical solutions. Andy’s contributions are evident in the company’s work with universities, hospitals, mixed-use projects, hotels, casinos, rail stations, hospitals, retail centers, arenas, and cities.

Andy’s attention to detail while maintaining a holistic view of each project is his strength while overseeing his team members’ work in site analysis, wayfinding strategy, branding, messaging, and related creative efforts. He has expertise in many areas of design communications, including advertising, interactive technologies, photography, and environmental graphic design. An expert in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp applications, Andy is hands-on, often educating the team on the latest tips and techniques.
