Alan brings insightful analytic skills to complex projects and spaces. At his core, he is a systems designer, thinking not only in details, but also in complete systems and how they could evolve over time. Driven by a passion for bringing a high level of organization and clarity to each of his projects, Alan’s work spans the civic, private, and healthcare sectors and has included campus wayfinding analysis, complex room numbering schemes, and comprehensive sign standards.
Recent projects include Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, SFO Terminal 1, and the Exterior Wayfinding Master Plan for Stanford’s medical campus.
Alan is a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia and a former San Francisco SEGD Chapter Chair.
