Adam Wells, the experiential graphic design leader (XGD Studio) at the firm, is a seasoned professional dedicated to visually and experientially representing clients’ brands through environmental graphics, wayfinding, and signage. With a keen understanding of architecture’s distinct characteristics and context, Adam collaborates closely with project stakeholders and design team members to develop creative solutions that forge connections between the project and its occupants and visitors. Through his work with DLR Group offices worldwide, Adam seamlessly integrates experiential design and brand development into the firm’s renowned building projects, elevating them to new heights of integrated design.
Adam’s recent portfolio showcases notable projects including his design contributions to the University of Houston Basketball program, where he skillfully infused school and team branding within high-volume spaces. At Compton High School in Los Angeles, California, Adam integrated themed experiential graphics, incorporating local historical imagery to brand the facility. His work on the Cal Poly Baseball Clubhouse in San Luis Obispo, California, showcased his ability to implement the school’s brand and highlight accomplished former players. Additionally a international project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, involved the development of a comprehensive wayfinding and signage package to organize multiple buildings within a campus setting.
