Solid Light Receives Silver Telly Awardfor Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston Film

Solid Light is pleased to announce the design-build firm has received a Silver Telly Award for the immersive and dynamic orientation film at the recently opened Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston. This is Solid Light’s 21st Telly Award in 25 years.

The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. This year’s winners include Adobe, Calvin Klein, ESPN, LinkedIn, MTV Entertainment Studios, NASA, the LA Clippers (NBA), PlayStation Studios, and more. The Telly Awards are judged by top video and television content producers from across the globe and received nearly 13,000 entries this year.

The Eternal Gandhi Museum Houston opened on October 2, 2023, commemorating Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday. Inside the museum, the A Force More Powerful Theater plays the Telly Award-winning orientation film. Projected on uniquely layered scrims, along with meticulously placed cords symbolic of handspun cotton, the film illuminates Gandhi’s philosophy, offering visitors an understanding of his powerful teachings. The film also celebrates peace leaders from around the world who have followed in the footsteps of Gandhi to bring about massive social change by adopting his legacy of nonviolent conflict resolution.

“From our very first collaboration with the Eternal Gandhi Museum, we knew the journey we were about to embark on was something very special,” says Solid Light Owner and CEO, Cynthia Torp. “From planning, design, media, and fabrication through installation, Gandhi’s message was at the center of each step. This honor from the Telly Awards recognizes the incredible work of our talented team, in collaboration with the museum, and demonstrates our continued commitment to excellence in storytelling across mediums. Through this film–sharing Gandhi’s words and actions–we hope to encourage future generations to consider their own small contributions and commitments to make their world a better place.”
