for Long-Term Growth
Solid Light, Inc. Announces Strategic Ownership & Leadership Transition

Solid Light, Inc., a nationally recognized design-build firm, specializing in immersive visitor experiences, today announced the beginning of a strategic transition in its ownership and leadership structure. Cynthia Torp, the company’s founder and long-time CEO has sold a minority stake in the business to five committed leaders of the firm—Chris Mozier, Jackson King, Mike Marnell, Ben Jett, and Casey Krueger—who will join as partners.
This proactive and deliberate plan will see Torp continue to lead the organization as CEO, then eventually transition to Board Chair, providing valuable guidance and expertise. At that time, Mike McCarthy, the firm’s current President, will transition to CEO, and Chris Mozier, the firm’s current COO, will transition to President. New leaders Mozier, Jett, Marnell, King, and Krueger combine their 50+ years of experience and dedication to Solid Light to bring the firm to its next phase of growth and innovation.
“For over 26 years, Solid Light has been more than just a business to me—it’s been my passion, my life’s work, and a community we’ve built together,” said Torp. “I believe this evolution will bring fresh perspectives, new energy, and persistent innovation, ultimately allowing us to further our ability to create human-centered experiences that transform understanding and generate lasting impact.”
This strategic move ensures the long-term success, stability, and growth of Solid Light. While Torp will continue as the majority owner, elevating these new partners’ expertise and fresh perspectives strengthens the firm’s forecasted trajectory, provides employees with opportunities for growth and advancement, and clients with enhanced quality, innovation, and topnotch service.
“My commitment to Solid Light, our incredible team, and all our clients, partners, and friends remains unwavering,” Torp added. “I am excited about this next phase, and I am confident that under this new leadership structure, Solid Light will continue to thrive and exceed expectations.”
