Luci Opens First International Studio, in London
Luci, the Chicago-founded experience design practice known for museums and cultural experiences, has opened its first studio outside the U.S. The London studio is led by Co-Principals and Creative Directors Josh Kirk and Thomas Tzortzi. Each brings more than a decade of experience in narrative-driven exhibition design and spatial master planning. Their shared portfolio includes the Oman Across Ages Museum, RAF Museum, Museum MACAN, and Shenzhen Natural History Museum. It also features The Raid at the National Museum of Denmark and Home of Carlsberg.
James Alexander, formerly chief executive of Event Communications, joins as chairman. Visual designer Alice Penner and spatial designer Becca Warren complete the founding team.
“London is an important next chapter for Luci, but this is about much more than opening another office,” said AJ Goehle, Founder and CEO. “Establishing a locally led team allows us to become part of an extraordinary creative and cultural community while bringing new perspectives to Luci as a whole.”
The move reflects Luci’s outcome-driven approach: starting not with a fixed idea of a space, but with what an institution wants visitors to understand, feel, or carry forward. “The answer begins with the place and the people who know it,” said Tzortzi. “Our job is to listen closely, establish a clear creative framework, and turn those perspectives into an experience that could belong nowhere else.”
