Mayer/Reed Celebrates Frog Pond Neighborhood Park Opening

Frog Pond Neighborhood Park is now welcoming families in Wilsonville, Oregon. On August 27, community members gathered under sunny skies to celebrate the park’s grand opening and explore a new place designed for play, movement and connection.
Mayer/Reed helped transform the 2.9-acre site into an inviting neighborhood destination. The landscape architecture team developed the park design with input from nearly 150 community members. As a result, the final plan reflects the activities and amenities local residents wanted most.
The park includes play equipment, an adult fitness area, walking paths, lawn space and places to gather. In addition, its location next to a new primary school creates more opportunities for families to enjoy the outdoors together. The project also shows how thoughtful landscape design can strengthen a growing neighborhood.
Most importantly, Frog Pond Neighborhood Park gives residents a welcoming public space built around community ideas. From its active play areas to its open green spaces, the new park offers plenty of reasons to jump for joy.
