Connectpoint™, the leading provider of solar-powered ePaper Digital Signage to the U.S. transit industry took the top prize for its Connectpoint Digital Bus Stop® in the “Sector Specific Response to Covid-19” category at the 2022 global
Digital Signage Awards.

The Digital Signage Awards are held annually, attracting entries from hundreds of leading technology companies around the world, including Adobe, Deloitte Digital, Sharp Electronics, Peerless, Samsung, Scala, and more.  The awards are impartial, independent, and objective, and aim to find the world’s best digital signage projects, creativity, content, innovation, and technology. Entries are evaluated by an independent panel of industry professionals. The winners were announced via a virtual presentation on August 25, 2022.  Digital Signage Awards is accredited by The Independent Awards Standards Council.

“During the COVID pandemic, digital technologies enhanced health and safety communications to make the passenger experience safer, healthier, and more accessible as riders navigated returning to work and school,” commented Rick Wood, CEO, Connectpoint.  “Transit agencies including Detroit’s SMART, Seattle’s King County Metro, and Portland’s TriMet, were able to easily and quickly design their own custom messages for the Digital Bus Stop screens to communicate the need for passengers to “mask-up” before they board, keep them informed about reduced and changing services, and provide updates on new COVID rules and regulations.  We are honored to have been recognized as an innovator in technology, judged by peers in the industry, and to have participated alongside other great technology leaders.”
