Cloud Gehshan Design Leads Wayfinding for Riyadh’s Diplomatic Quarter
Cloud Gehshan Design has completed a stunning wayfinding design and master plan for the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The area is home to over 60 embassies, luxury residential districts, international schools, vibrant retail spaces, and scenic walking trails along the Wadi Hanifah.
Blending modern functionality with cultural heritage, the sign system features native stone, fiber-reinforced concrete, and porcelain enamel panels. Designed to endure extreme desert weather, the system also draws inspiration from Salmani architectural patterns, capturing the historic character of the DQ.
LED lighting enhances visibility at night, while the bilingual signage plan includes everything from entrance gateways and vehicular directionals to park signs and walking trail map markers. The result is a cohesive and culturally rooted experience for residents and visitors alike.
