Blue Telescope’s Kofi’s Fire Wins MANY Award

Blue Telescope is proud to announce their digital graphic novel, Kofi’s Fire: A Spark of Resistance recently won the Award of Distinction for Excellence in Design from the Museum Association of New York (MANY).
Developed in collaboration with Historic Hudson Valley, Kofi’s Fire tells the true story of a 1741 uprising where enslaved Africans and white indentured servants set fire to warehouses in lower Manhattan. Blue Telescope’s interactive media and design brought this story to life with empathy–and urgency–by building a multi-dimensional story for Kofi, a real-life enslaved dock worker.
The project has already earned wide recognition, including honors from the Anthem Awards, Telly Awards, Muse Creative Awards, and a Summit Best in Show. The MANY Award recognizes outstanding achievement in design.
Blue Telescope is passionate about surfacing often overlooked histories and is thrilled Kofi continues to reach and inspire audiences.
