Kris Helmick is the SEGD Chapter Chair Liaison and has served on the SEGD Board since 2017. He was previously the Chapter Co-Chair for the Los Angeles Chapter.

Kris Helmick is an Associate Vice President of Environmental Graphics at CallisonRTKL, based in Los Angeles, California. His studio focuses on wayfinding, placemaking, signage, and environmental graphics projects. He directs environmental graphic design services for retail centers, branded environments, healthcare, senior living, transportation, and mixed-use developments both domestic and internationally.

Prior to joining CRTKL, Kris Helmick was a Senior Designer at Two Twelve (New York City) and a Designer/ Project Coordinator at Hunt Design (Pasadena, CA).  Some of his previous work includes:

  • Santa Barbara Citywide Wayfinding
  • Signage for over 10 National Park Service sites, Including the National Mall, Jefferson National Monument, the National Parks of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty.
