As Bluecadet’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Josh Goldblum is devoted to working with museums, universities, and nonprofit organizations to educate, engage, and entertain through digital innovation. He has conceptualized and created websites, mobile apps, interactive installations, and immersive environments for such organizations as MoMA, Smithsonian Institution, Doctors Without Borders, National Geographic, and over 20 prestigious institutions in Philadelphia. An expert in digital strategy and technology, Josh has been featured by NPR’s Morning Edition, CNN, The New YorkerUSA TodayHOW MagazineCommunication Arts, Adobe, People Magazine, and CBS News. His projects have been honored with an Emmy Award and several Webby, Webvisionary, ADDY, SXSW, and AAM MUSE Awards. 

Josh holds a B.A. from Tufts University and studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. After launching his career in digital media design at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., he established Bluecadet in his hometown of Philadelphia in 2007—inspired by the city’s intersection of history, entrepreneurial spirit, and extraordinary creative talent. Josh was named “Best Digital Visionary” by Philadelphia Magazine in the August 2014 Best of Philly issue, and he was selected by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce as Small Business Person of the Year in 2014. He thrives on solving challenges and sharing stories in today’s language—one that marries hi-tech with human, content with craft.

In a few months in Philadelphia, a new Warby Parker store will open in a space formerly occupied by the Le Bec-Fin. This restaurant, led by Chef Georges Perrier, was once widely considered one of the best in the world, but it famously refused to change with the times—and paid the price. With Warby Parker’s move into physical spaces, I’d argue the brand is doing the opposite.
