SEGD Vancouver Chapter | Sawatzky’s Imagination Corporation Shop Tour

Merging state of the art tools with old world craftsmanship and a healthy dose of imagination

Join SEGD Vancouver for a special behind-the-scenes field trip to Sawatzky’s Imagination Corporation, a rare opportunity to step inside one of the most imaginative and unique fabrication studios around.

Known for their bold, story-driven environments and highly distinctive style, Sawatzky’s design and build custom architecture, unique photo ops and one of a kind dimensional signs. We’ll explore how their ideas move from concept and prototyping through to full-scale fabrication, and get a feel for the materials, tools, and creative thinking that bring their worlds to life.

We’ve organized a bus to make getting there easy. We’ll meet at Pacific Central Station outside the main entrance (1150 Station St). We’ll have the opportunity for some social time on the bus, or switch your brain off and relax before arriving in Chilliwack. We’ll organise pizza and refreshments for our arrival to keep us satiated.

Date: Thursday Feb 12th, 4.15pm

Location:

• Bus pickup at the Main Entrance at Pacific Central Station, 1150 Station St, Vancouver. Please arrive at 4.15pm, the bus will depart at 4.30pm sharp
• If you’d prefer to meet us at Sawatzky’s (42392 Yarrow Central Rd, Chilliwack) please let us know when you register and we’ll meet you there at 6pm

Tickets: Free for SEGD members, non members USD$25

• 6.00pm – Arrive at Sawatzky’s – Welcome and introductions, food and refreshments, shop tour
• 8.00pm – Depart Sawatzky’s – Bus will take us back to the pick up location
• 9.30pm – Arrive back at pick up location – Pacific Central Station, 1150 Station St, Vancouver
