SEGD Vancouver Chapter | Shadow and Light

Exploring how shadow, light, and technology shape our experience of space

Join SEGD Vancouver for an evening of presentations which look at how designers use shadow, light and emerging technologies to create environments which invite us to experience space differently.

Jared Korb, Design Director at Ombrae Studios, will share his work and perspective on creating immersive environments which engage the senses and challenge our expectations of space.

Douglas Welch, Founder and Principal Designer of Eos Lightmedia, will share his perspective on the evolving relationship between architectural lighting, audiovisual technology and the built environment. With a career spanning theatre, architectural lighting and immersive environments, Douglas will explore how light and technology can become integral parts of the spaces and experiences we design.

The conversation will look at the details which shape how we see, feel and experience the built environment.
