The SEGD Detroit Chapter invites you to tour two exhibitions at the Detroit Institute of Arts*.
Led by graphic designer Everett Keyser and DIA Director of Interpretive Engagement Robin Groesbeck, each project is a good example of how art museum exhibitions are often developed, their challenges, and creating unique spaces that amplify the art.
Agenda:
- 3 pm–4 pm: Tiff Massey: 7 Mile + Livernois + Painted with Silk: The Art of Early American Embroidery.
- Immediately after: Join us for drinks and networking at Common Pub Detroit – 5440 Cass Ave, Detroit, MI 48202
Meeting Spot:
- Detroit Institute of Arts Museum – 5200 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48202
- We will meet just inside the Loggia Entrance off John R
Fees:
SEGD Event Tickets (Museum Admission is separate):
- SEGD Members – $10
- Non-Members – $15
DIA Museum Admission (Event Ticket is separate):
- General admission is free for Members of the DIA and residents of Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties.
- Non-resident general admission of $20 has been waived by the DIA for tour participants.

Parking:
- Street Parking is available via the Park Detroit app
- Cultural Lot ($7) is located on John R (south of Kirby St. and north of Warren Ave.)
