Sep 16, 2026IA and Relish Works walk us through their 2025 SEGD Global Design Awards Honor Award winner.
Relish Works is the innovation and research arm of a big family-owned food distributor. When they outgrew their startup years, they moved into a new office on Dearborn and asked IA to design something that could hold both versions of the company: the scrappy one that made things up as it went, and the one that now carries real weight inside a much larger organization.
IA’s answer was to build the whole place out of food. Spatulas, trays, and utensils become graphics and sculpture, and the space acts less like an office and more like a host. It won an Honor Award in the 2025 SEGD Global Design Awards, and Chad Finken, Lila Marty, and Shane Smith of IA are walking us through it.
Important Information
- Wednesday, September 16 at 1 N Dearborn. Get there by 5:15 to clear security.
- The tour runs 5:30 to 6:30 and we have the space for exactly one hour, so we start on time. Afterward, the co-chairs are walking to a bar nearby. Everyone’s welcome to come.
- Tickets are $5 for members and students, $10 for non-members.
- Registration closes September 9, because that’s when security gets our final attendee list and we can’t add anyone after it. If you can’t make it, please cancel by September 7 so we can open your spot back up. There are only 32 tickets and we’d like all 32 people to be there.
