SEGD Boston | Cambridge Crossing Tour: Art, Identity & Urban Design
Jun 03, 2026Join SEGD Boston Chapter and ULI Boston’s NEXT Council for a behind-the-scenes look at Cambridge Crossing, one of Greater Boston’s most dynamic mixed-use developments.
This guided tour will explore how public art, landscape design, wayfinding, and urban planning come together to create a vibrant, connected neighborhood. Hear from industry leaders as they share the vision and evolution of CX, followed by a curated walking tour of the district.
Start the afternoon with networking and light refreshments at TAP 151, followed by opening remarks and project insights from DivcoWest, CBT, Wayfinder Collaborative, and local artists. Speakers will share the vision and evolution of CX, from a transit-oriented concept to a thriving mixed-use district.
Then, break into small groups for a guided walking tour exploring:
- “Her Story” public art installations and the narratives behind them
- Landscape and environmental design, including sustainability and resilience strategies
- Inclusive wayfinding systems and accessibility features
- Urban planning and placemaking, with a focus on parks, community spaces, and neighborhood identity
- The Community Path and key connections to the surrounding area
The program concludes with closing remarks, a Q&A with project leaders, and additional networking at TAP 151.
