Experiential Design in the Portland Region

Known for its sustainability, natural beauty, and vibrant creative community, Portland offers a unique landscape for experiential design. From the lively Pearl District to the scenic riverfront, the city is an ideal setting for innovative public spaces and cultural projects. Our members work on projects that enhance the urban environment, from transit systems to parks and civic landmarks.

Key projects include the Tilikum Crossing Bridge of the People, which is the first transit, bike, and pedestrian-only bridge in the U.S. The design, led by Mayer/Reed, integrates interpretive panels that engage users with Portland’s natural and urban history. Another standout project is the Eastbank Esplanade Urban Markers, a series of markers along the riverfront that connect visitors to the city’s industrial and transportation heritage.

Join us as we explore the latest design trends, collaborate on impactful projects, and continue shaping Portland’s evolving urban landscape. Welcome to SEGD Portland!
