Experiential Design throughout India

Founded in 2025, the SEGD India Chapter is committed to educating, connecting, and inspiring the design community, across the country! From the bustling streets of Mumbai and Delhi to the tech corridors of Bengaluru, the historic lanes of Jaipur and Varanasi, and the coastal cultural hubs of Kochi and Chennai, India offers a vast and vibrant canvas for experiential design. Our design community works on wayfinding systems for complex transit networks like the Delhi Metro, placemaking and waterfront activations seen in projects such as the Sabarmati Riverfront revitalization, and immersive cultural installations showcased at events like the Kochi Muziris Biennale and Kala Ghoda Arts Festival. Whether it’s integrating traditional craft into modern visitor experiences or designing inclusive public spaces in rapidly growing cities, India’s diversity constantly inspires fresh approaches.
