Experiential Design in the Charleston Region

Welcome to Charleston! Known for its rich history and vibrant culture, Charleston embraces experiential design that reflects its past while looking toward the future. One of the most impactful projects in the city is the International African American Museum, located on Gadsden’s Wharf. Designed by Ralph Appelbaum Associates, this immersive museum uses dynamic storytelling to connect visitors to the history of African American experiences, from enslavement to contemporary achievements.
