2026 SEGD Insight Award

The SEGD Insight Award recognizes visionary clients who demonstrate the impact of experiential design by commissioning projects and initiatives that significantly enhance or promote opportunities for the field and practitioners. Past recipients include the UCSF Signage Governance Committee (SGC), the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Port of Portland

The Port of Portland is an economic powerhouse in the Pacific Northwest, overseeing marine terminals, business parks, and airports, including Portland International Airport (PDX).

The Port recently completed a major transformation of PDX that doubled the airport’s capacity while improving flow and accessibility, strengthening local character and seismic resilience, and slashing energy use through a range of sustainable innovations.

Working in lockstep with local partners, from architects, makers, and engineers to interior and graphic designers, wayfinding experts, and everyone in between, the Port brought regionally inspired designs to life with a wide range of mobilities in mind.

The result is a smooth, welcoming journey through a world-class airport, one that reflects the Pacific Northwest’s character at every turn.
