Daktronics Celebrates Two Decades of Partnership with SEGD
As sports, entertainment and design intersect in new ways, Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has signed on as a Platinum Industry Partner with SEGD, which includes support of SEGD’s Branded Environments event. Taking place at the Gensler office in downtown Los Angeles on March 18-19, the event will feature talks and tours centered around one of the world’s most influential centers for sports culture, entertainment and immersive brand experiences. SEGD will be bringing together designers, brand leaders, architects, technologists and venue professionals to explore how experience design is reshaping audience connection across sports and entertainment.
SEGD Director of Sales & Marketing Kristin Bennani says, “Branded Environments explores how the places built around sports, entertainment, and culture are evolving into civic gathering spaces—where fandom becomes a shared public experience and design shapes how people connect to one another and to place. This event brings together designers, architects, technologists, and brand leaders to explore how storytelling, media, and the built environment work together to create those moments.”
Daktronics has been a valued partner to SEGD for more than 20 years, supporting us in producing events that are experiences in themselves and helping bring the level of production value our members expect from a global community of designers of experiences.
The event’s mission is to forge a dynamic and creative hub that examines brand and experiential activations in the realms of sports and entertainment. The gathering is intended to be a haven for industry experts, design enthusiasts and thought leaders to provide a platform for revolutionary design perspectives, innovative strategies and collaborative exchange.
“What you’re going to see at this event is industry leaders and like-minded people collaborating on ways to bring these areas of focus together in a more intentional way,” said Steve Bayer, Daktronics director of special projects.
As our company supports both industries, it’s a natural fit for us to support and participate in Branded Environments.
The 2026 Branded Environments registration is currently open. It is a great fit for experience designers, brand strategists, architects, fabricators, technologists, sports and entertainment professionals, and anyone shaping how brands are experienced IRL. Attendees also have optional behind-the-scenes tours available of Crypto.com Arena, BMO Stadium, Rose Bowl Stadium or an HKS_MADE (materials, applications & digital exploration) lab.
In addition to being a presenting sponsor at Branded Environments, Daktronics is also supporting SEGD’s Xlab Conference in NYC as the Closing Mixer Sponsor and as the Digital Stage Screen Provider for the Annual 2026 SEGD Conference Experience Kansas City, being held October 22-24. Daktronics has provided digital display technology for SEGD’s annual conference for more than a decade, helping to bring energy and visibility to the stage and programming.
