Project Vision
Indivisible: Stories of American Community
This traveling postcard version of a show organized by the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona recorded the everyday lives of Americans across the country, with participating photographers taking images in their own communities. The two traveling shows are shown in public spaces and crossroads such as train stations, libraries, university student unions, and airports. At each stop, the crates are opened up and easily assembled into the postcard racks, combining the means of display with the means of shipping to save money. Visitors may take free postcards from the racks and also record their own stories of community at an interactive computer station.
