Erin Williams’ diverse background includes experience in architecture, design research and strategy, and information design. A systems thinker at heart, Erin always wants to know how things fit into the bigger picture of a sign system, a client’s identity, the city, or a cultural movement. As director of the EGD team at Rios Clementi Hale Studios, this versatility enables her to toggle easily between the big picture and the details of execution, delivering strong systems for users and clients.
Erin Williams’ designs create authentic and original user-centered experiences where people gravitate for the delight of being in the space. Her own favorite spaces mostly consist of mountaintops, where she practices getting lost, and found again, on a weekly basis.
Erin Williams received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California and her Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communications Design from the University of Washington. Her work has been recognized by the SEGD and the IIDA and has been featured in publications such as Wallpaper Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, and the book Just Design: Socially Conscious Design for Critical Causes by Christopher Simmons.
