2+U
2+U is a unique downtown development that features an Urban Village sheltered from the rains by a soaring 80-foot canopy. The site steps down from one block to the next, and along the way provides some beautiful views of the city and waterfront, welcoming the public in and through the site.

The Challenge
The team took the plus from the 2+U logo and ran with it, both visually and conceptually, tying together both the urban village and the office tower above. The intent was to create a unique sense of place for a site that includes both private spaces in the office towers above, but also a series of unique public gathering places below. Welcoming language, as well as the “plus” motif, was woven into public space signage to reflect this open and inviting attitude, suggesting that the sum is greater than the parts.
