Xuewei Jiang is originally from Nanjing, China, and is a graduate student in the Exhibition and Experience Design Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she focused on painting and drawing.
After completing her degree she began working as a visual designer for the Contemporary Art Fair in Nanjing. She oversaw the development of floorplans, virtual model making, and creating advertisements. Currently, she is a master's student in the Exhibition and Experience Design Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology, working on various museum projects, such as a shoe exhibition at the Museum of FIT and developing a new wayfinding system at the New York Aquarium. Furthermore, she has experience developing online virtual exhibitions and exploring the potential of 3D interactivity with online platforms.
She views her work through the lens of innovation, collaboration, and experience design, where she relies heavily on research methods for tackling new ways of exploring audience engagement, 3D modeling, and 2D Design.
