WOMEN IN DESIGN: LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY
This one hour moderated panel discussion brings together four women in our community, from diverse backgrounds and disciplines who are shaping design, the community and the future, and gives them a chance to share their values, challenges and what drives them to make a difference through their craft and practice.

OUR PANELISTS
Faith Berry//Senior Designer at Studio SC
Berry has been improving the human experience in the built environment through environmental graphic design and communications. She believes it is a designers unique responsibility as a trendsetter to lead social change by example, especially when it comes to sustainable alternatives to daily living.

Julie Myers//President JMD Consultants, Inc., & Associate Professor, Design Department Cornish College of the Arts
Myers is an active design professional & educator. Both in practice & through teaching, her work emphasizes the three-dimensional experience of time, space & surface. She is a design activist for innovation, well-being & cultural sustainability within a wide range of complex project scales across the globe.

Paula Rees//Principal of ForeSeer

Rees is recognized for her ability to create lasting connections between large urban environments and the people who populate them. Rees was inspired during the workshops on “Women, Work and Design” at the International Design Conference at Aspen (1977) and from that became an early participant in growing Seattle Women in Design, which then become the Seattle Design Association, and is today AIGA Seattle.

Andrea Weatherhead//Principal Weatherhead Experience Design, Inc.

Weatherhead specializes in the convergence of educational programs, content development, interactive exhibit design, and sophisticated multimedia technology for museums and cultural institutions.

Please join us for happy hour and spirited discussion this month; honoring Women's History Month through our very own women whose commitment to design has proved invaluable to society.
