Xiaoxiao Guo is a recent graduate with an MA in Exhibition and Experience Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. She holds another MA degree in Interior and Spatial Design from the University of the Arts London(UAL) in UK.
As a storyteller, Xiaoxiao aims to connect ideas to people through choregraphed multi-sensory experiences. Xiaoxiao enjoys synthesizing concepts into coherent language to develop compelling and meaningful narratives, in which the entire story can be embedded into visitors’ experiences.
With her studies in Interior and Spatial Design at London(MA) and Macau(BA), she developed a strong spatial sensitivity, experimental thinking, and a relatively comprehensive perception of both eastern and western cultural contexts. Her interior architectural design working experience at Truebond strengthened her design execution through practical design workflow. Additionally, the in-depth study of exhibition design at FIT allowed her to practice her “curiosity muscles” and explore creative story-telling methods in various exhibit conditions, such as museums, tradeshows, pop-up exhibitions. Their client sponsored projects included working with The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Liberty Science Center and MG Design. From concept development to experiential prototype; from brand identities to 3D renderings and exhibit design documentations, her capacity of multi-disciplinary design has been enhanced through both team and independent projects. Therefore, she is comfortable to work with both 2D and 3D platforms, and her interior architectural design background also offers her fresh perspectives to develop dynamic environmental graphic languages.
