About the Moderators
Rick Orlosky: With early roots in graphic design and museum education, Rick creates create exhibits, wayfinding and marketing for WCS's award-winning Exhibition and Graphic Arts Department. Collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary team including architects, landscape designers, and interpretive planners, his projects range from the Central Park Zoo's Snow Leopard exhibit, to signage and interpretation for National Parks in Rwanda and Madagascar. Rick also serves on the faculty of SUNY FIT's School of Graduate Studies Exhibition Design program.
Melissa Budinic: After gaining a degree in exhibit design, Melissa joined the team at the National Museum of Mathematics. With its grand opening this past December, MoMath became the nation's only museum dedicated exclusively to math. At the museum, Melissa works with the Chief of Design to create, update and maintain over 30 permanent interactive exhibits, and also provides design support for numerous events and fundraising efforts. Melissa has also worked on exhibits for the Corcoran and the National Museum of American History.
