Opportunities to Network
SEGD offers many opportunities for networking, knowledge-sharing, and connecting with fellow EGD practitioners.
SEGD offers a robust calendar of professional development courses, including on-site workshops, symposia, local chapter events, and webinars that allow participants to learn and share experiences. Workshops include the Wayfinding Workshop (every 2 years), Well, the Healthcare workshop, BE Branded Environments, CX the Customer Experience Workshop, Airports and Transportation Workshop.
The annual SEGD Conference is the gathering of the clan for the Experiential Graphics Design community. It is the only international event focused on communication design that connects people and place in the built environment. The SEGD Education Symposium is held the day before the main conference. It is the space where multiple design disciplines converge and where design professionals and vendors and fabricators who create compelling and information-rich spaces go for inspiration, education, and networking.
XLab Explores how digital technology is been used to create experiences that connect people to place. As the opportunities to integrate digital technologies and two way interactions keep multiplying, we have seen Xlab develop from an SEGD workshop into a second must attend conference for most practitioners.
25 chaptersrepresent SEGD at a local city level internationally, providing opportunities to meet other EGD professionals for networking and education. We have Chapters all over the world, including Wellington New Zealand, Brisbane Australia, London, Edinburgh and Toronto and Vancouver as well as in many US Cities.
