As Graphic Design Manager for Populous, Wes Heaton leads his team with more than 11 years of design experience. With clients including the National Football League’s New England Patriots, Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees and the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Wes Heaton brings an extensive understanding of sports design.
For seven years Wes Heaton has been instrumental in the Populous Graphics Department by designing all internal branding pieces, including proposals, advertising campaigns, direct mail, brochures and recruiting material. Wes leads his department by interpreting client communication strategies, prioritizing workflow, ensuring deliverables are met relative to creative strategy and budget, directing the production of all company literature and maintaining company-wide brand integrity.
Wes Heaton served as creative director on the recent Chicago Cubs Spring Training Facility in Mesa, Arizona. He led the concept development and design strategy for the project, including a conceptual book about the Populous design approach. The book, Connected Moments, joined together the story of Chicago Cubs traditions and fan experiences with the overall Populous approach and was an integral factor in the final selection process by conveying Populous’ expertise.
