Wendy Olmstead was a Faculty Associate at Tempe University's Industrial Design Program from 1980 - 1991.

Wendy Olmstead taught all levels of typography and graphic design to sophomore, junior and senior level students at Purdue University from 1991-1997. She also designed and directed seminar courses for graduate visual communications students and directed the efforts of independent study students upon their request.

Wendy started designing original art quilts as of January 2012. Now her activity is hands on play with color, geometry, texture and other art elements within the framework of rock solid design.
