Thomas Horton, Senior Associate at Gensler, serves as the firm’s environmental graphic design director in the San Francisco Brand Design Studio.
Tom Horton is responsible for developing solutions for signage systems, branded environments, retail stores, and exhibit environments. During his 20 years with Gensler, Tom’s specialized expertise has included signage and wayfinding at Shanghai Tower, San Francisco International Airport, General Service Administration locations nationwide, and recently, a LEED-focused project at the University of the Pacific.
He has also designed retail and branded environments for Club One, REI, Toyota USA, and CNET Networks, as well as exhibition and museum spaces for Monterey Bay Aquarium, the California Academy of Sciences, and Shaklee Corp., among others.
Many of Tom Horton’s projects have achieved LEED certification, and feature his innovative approaches to green signage and LEED education interpretive programs.
